This page explains what data TheDancerHQ processes, why, for how long, and how to exercise your rights (GDPR).

Controller

Pallane, publisher of TheDancerHQ. Contact: through the report form on every page.

Data we process

  • Account: email address, Instagram ID and username if you log in with Instagram, display name, preferred language and city.
  • Pro space: professional details of your studio, choreographer or organizer activity, and your page claim requests.
  • Public pages: public professional information about studios, choreographers and organizers (stage or business name, public links, classes, venues), with its source and collection date. No private personal data is collected.
  • Reports: reason, message and, if you provide it, your email address.
  • Bookings: a click on “Book” is counted anonymously (page and date), with no link to your identity.
  • Technical data: session and preference cookies (see below), security logs.

Purposes and legal bases

  • Providing the service (account, pro space, pages): performance of the terms of use.
  • Presenting dance offers from public professional information: legitimate interest in informing dancers, with a simple right to object (removal request).
  • Handling reports and securing the site: legitimate interest.
  • Measuring interest in partnerships (anonymous “Book” clicks): legitimate interest.

Recipients and processors

Website hosting: Vercel. Database and authentication: Supabase. Instagram login: Meta Platforms. Venue address lookup: OpenStreetMap (no personal data sent). Cover videos: YouTube (cookie-less youtube-nocookie.com) or Vimeo (do-not-track), loaded from their servers.

Some providers are based outside the European Union; transfers rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

Your data is never sold.

Retention

  • Account: until you delete it, or 3 years after your last login.
  • Reports and claim requests: 3 years after they are handled.
  • Removed pages: only what's needed to never import them again is kept (name, public link).
  • Security logs: 1 year.

Your rights

You can access, correct, erase, restrict, object to and port your data, through the report form on every page. For a public page about you, the “Ask for this page to be removed” link is enough.

You can also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in France, the CNIL: www.cnil.fr).

Cookies and local storage

TheDancerHQ only uses necessary cookies: login session (sb-…), language (tdhq_locale) and preferred city (tdhq_city). Your light or dark theme is kept in your browser. No analytics or advertising for now: if that changes, we'll ask for your consent.
